I like that you looked at the play as a separate entity.  I totally agree with your assessment. As you said, it is like an &amp;quot;academic debate, not the way people really talk&amp;quot;...it is a Mametian world, and I am only too happy to visit there once and awhile.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have seen the play on several occassions already and continue to discover pieces of dialogue I missed during the previous viewings.
